The Galaxy S III has had a very successful run and has attracted a lot of people to the Android operating system. In fact, in the first 5 months of going on sale Samsung has sold over 30 million Galaxy S III handsets. Although Samsung has hit it big with the Galaxy S III, it is expected that the Galaxy SIV will make an appearance in the early-to-mid 2013. It has long been rumored that the Galaxy SIV will feature a Quad-Core A15 processor, 13MP camera, 1080p AMOLED display with an impressive 441 ppi and more.
The Russian blog Rozetked has chimed in however, and has created an impressive Galaxy SIV concept featuring an edge-to-edge display, a laser keyboard and Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. If this was indeed the Galaxy SIV it would definitely outdo the iPhone in a lot of ways.
I don’t know what it is with people and laser / holographic keyboards, but almost every tech concept we have shared with you lately has featured one in some way. Personally I see the idea of a laser keyboard as more of a novelty, especially on a phone. On a tablet where you have more screen space I think it might be worthwhile to have a laser keyboard, but considering how small your phone is, I don’t really see the usefulness. Personally I would rather just type on-screen.
With CES 2013 coming up, it could be the perfect time for Samsung to unveil the Galaxy SIV. In a lot of ways however, a handset like this would deserve its own dedicated event. What do you think?
